NO STORE ROCKS MORE
San Antonio H-E-B fans can now buy viral heavy metal t-shirts

H-E-B is rocking out with new metal t-shirts.
No one can ever accuse H-E-B of not listening to its customers. After a mockup of heavy metal-inspired H-E-B t-shirts by Nashville graphic artist Connor Dwyer went viral, the beloved San Antonio grocery store got to work making the design a reality. The real-life collection is now on sale exclusively at heb.com/metaltees.
Earlier this year, Dwyer began posting metal-inspired grocery store merch on TikTok, covering popular chains like Aldi, Walmart, and Trader Joe's. But none got heads banging as quickly as the H-E-B shirts. The company saw the buzz and contacted him to design a line benefiting Austin nonprofit Health Alliance for Austin Musicians (HAAM).
The online interest was perhaps not that great a surprise, especially in San Antonio. The city has long been a hub of hesher fandom, and famously, enshrined by the late Ozzy Osborne's infamous Alamo caper in 1982.
The long-sleeved design has a few differences from the original t-shirt, adding a shopping cart and the "no store does more" slogan. But it kept Dwyer's original star graphic.
The t-shirts drop at 10 am on Friday, October 17, but metal heads need to act fast if they want to snag one up. Only 1,000 shirts will be produced, and H-E-B has no plans to make a second batch.
The shredding t-shirts sell for $35 plus shipping and are made in sizes up to 4X. H-E-B is limiting the sale to two shirts per customer and says the product will begin shipping Monday, October 22.
