Restaurant reservation service OpenTable has developed its 2025 list of the top 100 most romantic restaurants in America, and one charming San Antonio eatery has made the cut: Bohanan's Prime Steaks and Seafood.
The list was compiled using more than 10 million restaurant reviews based on six metrics, including diner ratings, the percentage of reservations made in advance, and more. Qualified restaurants were not ranked by score, but by the percentage of reviews that included the tag “romantic."
Bohanan's was one of four total Texas restaurants that made the list.
According to OpenTable, the downtown-based steakhouse is renowned for serving Akaushi beef — one of the four native Japanese cattle breeds that produces tender Wagyu — and fresh seafood flown in on a daily basis.
"What can be said but excellence. Service is top notch, cocktails are fantastic just the best of the best for date night," one OpenTable reviewer said.

Popular dishes on the menu include owner and chef Mark Bohanan's custom cuts of bone-in steaks, such as the ribeye, New York strip, and filet. Other specialty menu offerings include the French grilled oysters, escargot, char-grilled jumbo shrimp, mesquite grilled quail, and more.
"Imbibe a classic cocktail at the first-floor Bar at Bohanan’s, then join us upstairs for the best steak you’ve ever eaten," the restaurant's OpenTable profile says.
February 14 doesn't have to be the only day that gets a designated date night; The restaurant is also popular for Father's Day and other special occasions.
