San Antonio's Alamo Biscuit opens new after-hours food truck park

Krazy Katsu is one of four resident food trucks at the new Biscuit Yard.
A brand-new food truck park has rolled into San Antonio’s Medical Center. The Biscuit Yard, featuring a lineup of some of Alamo City’s most popular mobile eateries, has opened next door to Alamo Biscuit Company & Panaderia at 9630 Huebner Rd.
John Vale, the owner of Alamo Biscuit, dreamed up the concept as a way to activate the space after the restaurant’s usual daytime hours. The park will be open Tuesday through Sunday, 5 pm-midnight.
“Our Huebner location closes at 3 pm on weekdays and 4 pm on weekends, so I wanted to find a fun way to keep the space active in the evenings,” Vale says in a release. “The Biscuit Yard brings great local food, good music, and a relaxed vibe to the neighborhood.”

The Biscuit Yard will feature four resident food trucks from familiar local concepts:
- Smashin Crab, serving Cajun seafood favorites
- Krazy Katsu, known for its Japanese-style chicken sandwiches
- Tacos al Carbón Cabrón, offering Mexican street tacos
- Double A BBQ, dishing up classic Central Texas barbecue
Diners can pair their meal with drinks from Alamo Biscuit’s full bar and enjoy them on the patio. To celebrate the grand openings, Bud Light bottles will be discounted to $2 for a limited time.
“We wanted to create a space that celebrates San Antonio’s diverse food culture while giving our community another reason to come together,” Vale adds. “The Biscuit Yard offers the perfect blend of casual dining, local flavors, and a welcoming atmosphere right here in the Medical Center.”
