San Antonio nets another location of popular Texas seafood chain
Alamo City has hooked another neighborhood eatery that promises to deliver some “serious seafood.”
Addison-based Fish City Grill, which currently boasts two local locations — one at Northwoods Shopping Center and one at Culebra at 7010 W. Loop 1604 N. that opened last fall — and 20 locations total throughout Texas, Arkansas, Florida, and Oklahoma, will open a new restaurant at The Shops at South Rim next spring.
Anchored at 5311 N. Loop 1604 W., Fish City Grill’s spot at the new upscale shopping center, located at the northwest corner of Loop 1604 and Vance Jackson Road, will encompass 3,200 square feet and accommodate more than 200 diners with indoor seating and on its spacious patio — the best locale to feel like a big fish when dining on some tasty seafood.
In addition to favorites like grilled salmon; fish tacos; fish and chips; shrimp and grits; snow crab; and seafood platters of catfish, shrimp, and oysters, Fish City Grill also specializes in must-have seafood appetizers like a jumbo lump crab tower, oyster nachos (don’t knock ’em till you’ve noshed ’em), calamari, clam chowder, and gumbo.
The new restaurant, which Fish City Grill notes will open soon after Easter 2022, will also include a full bar and feature a specialty cocktail menu.
“San Antonio diners have been so supportive of our other Fish City Grill locations at Culebra and Northwoods,” says Bill Bayne, co-founder of Fish City Grill, in a release. “There is so much excitement in the area surrounding the South Rim, and we’re happy to bring our casual, coastal dining experience to the neighborhood.”
