Cook Like a Texan
Top chefs head to the Pearl for one-of-a-kind Texas feast
If you’ve always wanted to see the pages of Texas Monthly come alive and cook for you, this is your chance. On Sunday, February 26, from 6-10 pm, the magazine hosts its Cook Like A Texan Feast at the Pearl Stable, featuring top San Antonio talent.
The event promises a culinary tour of our great state, celebrating the magazine’s December issue, which is all about the essential cooking techniques Texans should know. The evening begins with a tasting reception by local chefs with interactive art and screen printing by contemporary artist Cruz Ortiz, craft cocktails, wine, and beer.
Following the walk around, there’s a multi-course affair starring highly regarded Texas chefs and featuring an array of Texas cuisine. There will be a Q&A with the chefs and talent during the evening, with editor in chief Tim Taliaferro and restaurant editor Patricia Sharpe serving as hosts for the culinary journey. Attendees will also enjoy live music by Doc Watkins of Jazz, TX and a dessert presentation under the Texas stars.
