Ácenar
Savor a three-course romantic dinner on a balcony overlooking the River Walk at Ácenar, one of the area’s newest restaurants and bars offering contemporary Mexican cuisine. Located at 146 E. Houston St., Ácenar will offer a variety of dishes for Valentine’s Day and weekend, including vegetarian enchiladas, seafood poblano pasta, sea bass, and grilled chicken. Aldo’s Ristorante Italiano
For delicious Italian food in a romantic setting, take your sweetheart to Aldo’s Ristorante Italiano at 8539 Fredericksburg Rd. The farmhouse-turned-restaurant is a San Antonio tradition offering a Valentine’s Day menu integrating classic items with new options. Diners will choose from four select appetizers, such as the escargot boun albergo and calamari fritti; more than 10 entrée items; and four desserts, including Aldo’s award-winning cheesecake with fresh strawberries. Azuca Nuevo Latino
For something unpredictable this Valentine’s Day, walk the winding streets of Southtown before stopping for some zesty food inspired by the Caribbean at Azuca, located at 709 S. Alamo St. Chef Rene has created the No. 1 aphrodisiac-inspired menu for the occasion, combining a four-course menu with champagne for two and a rose for her. The Granary 'Cue & Brew
The historic Pearl Brewery is home to dozens of restaurants, some of which will be serving up special dinners for Valentine’s Day weekend. The Granary Cue & Brew will offer some of its favorite dishes as a three-course prix fixe menu for $55 per person, not including tax and tip. Reservations are not required but are strongly suggested for this event; snag your spot through the Granary website.
Landry’s Seafood
Seafood lovers will enjoy the special surf-and-turf lineup at Landry’s Seafood on the River Walk at 517 N. Presa St. The menu highlight is the Ultimate Surf Platter with scallops, lobster tail, filet, mashed potatoes, green beans, available from Thursday, February 9, through Valentine's Day. The Melting Pot
What better way to set a romantic mood than by indulging in fine artisan cheeses with your special someone. At the Melting Pot, located at 14855 Blanco Rd., diners can choose from two cheese fondues; an orchard salad with homemade ranch dressing; and more than six entrees, including filet mignon, house ravioli, and cold water lobster tail. Sisters Grimm Ghost Tour
One of San Antonio’s favorite Valentine’s Day haunts is the Historic Menger Hotel, which plays host to the Sisters Grimm Ghost Tour. Guests will enjoy a three-course meal by candlelight inside one of the most haunted hotels in the country. After a tour, hop on the Ghost Bus and hear the spine-chilling stories behind San Antonio’s most haunted sites or take a Haunted History Walk of the city. Whiskey Cake Kitchen & Bar
If you’re in the mood for some heartwarming Valentine’s Day fare made from local ingredients, set the special date at Whiskey Cake Kitchen & Bar.
