New Canyon Lake community launches with $99K condos
Limestone
We’d all like to have a lake house, but few can afford $400,000-plus for a weekend escape. Well, hold on to your board shorts. Limestone Landing has transformed a former Holiday Inn resort in Canyon Lake into a condo community with prices starting at $99,000.
The 72-unit property at 417 April Dr. is offering 24 residences in its initial launch. The $99,000 units are offered raw for those who want to hand-select the fixtures and backsplashes. Hill Country Modern units, starting at $149,000, have been flipped with updated finishes and are move-in ready. Each 800-square-foot condo is two-bedroom, two-bath.
In addition to comfortable digs, residents will have access to amenities including a pool, a playground, a barbecue area, and pickleball, volleyball, and basketball courts. Native landscaping and sitting areas extends the vacay-all-day fantasy.
Limestone Landing is also giving owners the chance to make a little coin on the side. Developer KC Hospitality says that short-term rentals are allowed, a rarity at most condos.
"Limestone Landing offers buyers an attainable opportunity to own in Canyon Lake while providing the flexibility to enjoy the property as a primary residence, weekend retreat, or investment," said Jeff Wait, KC Hospitality's director of development, in a release.
The opportunity comes as nearby Canyon Lake returns to 99 percent capacity. After years of drought caused all 23 of the public boat ramps to close in late 2025/ early 2026, recent Guadalupe River floodwaters have revived hopes for tourism — and lake living — in the area.
While Limestone Landing can’t control the weather, buying one of its condos is less risky than buying a lakeside home. According to Redfin, the median home price in the Hill Country community is $477,000, although the dry conditions contributed to a sticker drop of 8.4 percent last year.
