New shopping center to open on San Antonio's thriving Far West Side

Delphi at Potranco is aiming to open by the end of 2025.
The Far West Side continues to flourish into one of San Antonio’s hottest commercial hubs with another new shopping center coming to 14617 Potranco Rd. According to state records, the $3.48 million Delphi at Potranco development is expected to be open by the end of 2025, bringing more dining and retail options to the rapidly growing area.
Unlike similar upcoming developments like the Shops at Borgfeld, Stone Oak Mercantile, and Portico at Shaenfield Ranch, no marquee restaurant names are attached to the project. Real estate firm Dominion Advisory Group only lists VV Orthodontics as an anchor in its leasing brochure.
But the plans do include two 3,000-square-foot spaces earmarked for dining. Although the size doesn’t preclude more formal concepts from moving into the center, it is more likely to attract quick-service or fast-casual eateries. One of the spaces can accommodate a drive-thru.
Whatever business does move into Delphi will surely find an audience. According to the Texas Department of Transportation, Potranco Road is one of the top 100 most congested roads in Texas. A mid-commute treat is a sure-fire way to temper road rage.
Over the past two decades, the area has also seen explosive growth. The availability of former ranch land has made the far West Side neighborhoods attractive to home developers, laying the groundwork for an influx of services from day cares to med spas. A boom in data centers has also brought jobs to the area.
Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation project details say that Delphi at Potranco will be tenant-ready by October 2025. The Dominion brochure does not give an official delivery date.
