Here's a look at the hottest San Antonio ZIP codes in 2018
San Antonio homeowners, both established and soon-to-be, were busy making moves in 2018. Opendoor analyzed its data for the last year in the Alamo City and pinpointed where — and when — people were scouting out their potential new homes.
Those findings are effectively a list of the most popular parts of town for prospective homebuyers. Opendoor makes it easy for house hunters to visit for-sale San Antonio properties on their own schedule, between the hours of 6 am and 9 pm. The handy app unlocks the front door, meaning buyers can return to visit as many times as they like before making an offer.
Using those trackable stats, Opendoor found that the No. 1 San Antonio neighborhood was in 78254, followed by one in Cibolo (78108) and another in San Antonio proper (78247).
The majority of the list is made up of San Antonio ZIP codes (78250, 78253, 78245, 78251, and 78232), with one each from Converse (78109) and Shertz (78154) rounding out the top 10.
Opendoor's data was restricted to homes priced between $100,000 and $500,000, meaning that properties in traditionally high-dollar neighborhoods were excluded.
As for when homebuyers are on the hunt, the results are a little less surprising. Sundays and Saturdays see the most traffic, but Tuesday supplants Friday as the third most popular day, followed by Monday, Thursday, and Wednesday.
Currently, Opendoor has nearly 200 homes on the market across San Antonio, so there are tons of homes available to tour, every day of the week.
