The San Antonio homes you can buy right now for under $400,000
One of the great things about San Antonio is that it’s filled with historic properties boasting tons of charm. Instead of knocking down houses in favor of cookie-cutter homes, we embrace our heritage by renovating and modifying, keeping a home’s unique character intact.
For this real estate roundup, we looked at single-family historic homes, all priced under $400,000, in some of San Antonio’s hottest neighborhoods.

One of the larger lots in the historic Lavaca District neighborhood, the renovated abode from 1910 features front and back porches, hardwood floors, 13-foot ceilings, and crown molding. This unique home is located south of downtown with proximity to parks, restaurants, and the River Walk. Recently reduced to $388,000, 324 Leigh St. is listed with Trudy Edwards of Keller Williams.

The property has four bedrooms and two full bathrooms, with a total of 1,966 square feet. The home was built in 1905 but was recently updated with a brand-new A/C system, foundation, plumbing, and electric. Beautiful tile work is highlighted in both the kitchen and bathrooms, while warm wood floors create a cozy interior. A large yard out back reveals an apartment garage that needs a little love, but could be used as an office, studio, or extra room for rent.
221 Hermine Blvd.
Situated in the attractive Olmos Park area, this home is surrounded by greenery on its large double lot. With a covered brick paver patio and pergola, potential buyers will enjoy over one-third of an acre at this location. The home itself is 1,705 square feet featuring an all rock exterior, three beds, and two full baths. Original hardwood floors and French doors fill this 1940s abode with personality. 221 Hermine Blvd. is listed with Susanne Gentry with Re/Max, and is on the market for $315,000.
