Storied South Texas ranch rustles up new fashion and home collection

One of Texas’ oldest family-owned ranches is building a new legacy. H. Yturria Ranch, the storied 14,000-acre South Texas landmark in Raymondville, has launched H. Yturria Ranch Mercantile, a luxury lifestyle brand featuring apparel, accessories, and home décor rooted in the “gateway to the Valley.”

The collection, now available online, blends classic Western style with contemporary design. Fashion items include delicate floral-stitched blouses, trucker-style caps, bandana-print scarves, and hand-woven totes. Home goods range from branded wooden serving boards to a pair of cowhide pillows (one nods to the ranch's famous zebras) that could work as well in a modern farmhouse as a slick city loft.

“Every generation in my family has worked on the ranch at some point,” says founder and sixth-generation H. Yturria family member Quita Wittenbach, via a release. “After working on the ranch for 23 years, I realized how difficult it was to find quality, well-fitting, stylish ranch-lifestyle apparel that I was proud to wear. I’m thrilled to fill this gap in the market and offer fashionable ranch and hunting goods for both women and men.”

Founded in 1858 by Francisco Yturria, the ranch is celebrated for its long-standing commitment to sustainable land stewardship and wildlife management. The Mercantile seeks to carry that tradition forward with practical, heritage-inspired pieces that honor the property’s rugged South Texas history while appealing to contemporary lifestyles.

“I’m incredibly proud of our family for preserving the ranch’s legacy while continuing to innovate,” Wittenbach added. “H. Yturria Ranch Mercantile lets us share our heritage in a new way with the ranching community and anyone who appreciates authentic, heritage-driven design.”

Customers can shop the full collection online in time for holiday gifting and enjoy free shipping available on orders over $300. For now, the goods are only available in-store at Harlingen’s Velvet Magnolia (1130 US Frontage Rd), but more physical stockists are to come.

Beloved same-day skincare chain to open first San Antonio salon

Face Foundrié will begin offering same-day services in 2026.

Cult-favorite salon chain Face Foundrié is bringing its inclusive approach to beauty to San Antonio for the first time. According to state filings, the franchise is eyeing a spring debut at 320 E Basse Rd #101 in the Quarry Village shopping center.

In 2024, the company identified Alamo City as its next planned expansion market. At the time, it was targeting popular shopping centers like The Shops at La Cantera, The Rim, and The Village at Stone Oak.

“As we continue to expand, San Antonio stands out as a city brimming with potential,” the company wrote in a press release. “Known for its rich history and dynamic economy, San Antonio offers a prime environment for growth. We have identified several key markets within San Antonio that present exciting multi-unit opportunities.”

Founder Michele Henry envisioned the brand after having her third child. Frustrated by the hassle of booking spas in advance and dealing with changing skin, she saw a gap in the market for same-day skincare. The research led to her opening the first Face Foundrié in 2019.

As the name implies, the chain focuses exclusively on the face. Among the services offered are dermaplaning, chemical peels, hydrogel masks, facials, light therapy, and brow waxing and tinting. Ever on top of trends, it also regularly adds treatments like gua sha, cupping, and microchanneling to stimulate cell turnover.

Although services are offered à la carte, Face Foundrié also offers memberships for regular upkeep. Fans can also organize Face Parties for five or more guests, scoring a 10 percent card for their efforts.

According to Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation records, the salon is aiming to complete its buildout at Quarry Village by mid-April 2026. State records are not always accurate indicators of real project timelines. A request for more details was not returned in time for publication.
