San Antonio luxury leather goods company folds after 14 years

Bexar Goods Co., a nationally known company specializing in high-quality, hand-crafted leather goods and accessories, has closed after a 14-year run outfitting San Antonio tastemakers. March 31 was the final day for the San Antonio-based business.
In a social media statement, business partners and cousins Falcon Rubio-Schoenfelt, Guy Rubio, and Christian Craft did not disclose the reasoning behind the decision, instead thanking the San Antonio community for years of support. Further posts went down memory lane, fondly remembering core products like a satchel and an early canvas tote.
“The time has come to hang up the needles,” the trio shared through the farewell letter. “We’ve adapted and pivoted through the years, but this chapter of our lives is ready to close.”
Bexar Goods opened in 2011 after Guy Rubio purchased leather-working tools. The business initially focused on bespoke men's bags before pivoting to smaller goods like wallets, keychains, and ball caps.
The company soon became well-known for its branded merchandise featuring a distinctive cactus logo. Its limited-edition San Antonio Spurs collaborations were some of the most coveted accessories in Alamo City, quickly selling out to the area’s voracious basketball fans.
Bexar Goods was also known for Outland Provision Co., a curated retail outlet housed in a vintage Airstream trailer. The shop once anchored food and retail truck park Broadway News before rolling to SA Yacht Club on West Grayson Street.
The business did not share any next moves or whether any founders would remain in the maker space. Although the company is no longer accepting new business, the made-to-order goods will continue to be in production through April to meet the community response.
