Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams Grand Opening
The first Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams shop in San Antonio invites the general public to enjoy a sweet treat in their new digs at The Shops at La Cantera. Visitors will receive free ice cream scoops from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and will be entered to win free ice cream for a year by signing up for Jeni’s Splendid Rewards. The first 50 people in line will receive surprise merch. Admission to the grand opening is free.
The Rock at La Cantera presents Cinema & Sips Series
Enjoy an outdoor movie, local culture, and chill vibes at The Rock at La Cantera. The weekly Cinema & Sips Series designed for adults kicks off with a screening of short films followed by the 2006 film, Nacho Libre. Craft cocktails will be available for purchase. Guests are encouraged to bring their lawn chairs and picnic blankets for a comfortable viewing experience. Admission is free.
San Antonio Film Festival
The San Antonio Film Festival takes to the screens at Tobin Center for the Performing Arts and other local venues. Attendees can enjoy more than 200 feature films, shorts, documentaries, and more movies of all genres by local, national, and international filmmakers. Festival highlights include the Texas premiere of opening night film The Legend of Juan Jose Mundo and the U.S. premiere of Valley of the Horntak. Programming continues through July 26. Gruene Hall presents Roger Creager in concert
Country music singer Roger Creager celebrates his birthday with four consecutive nights of performances at Gruene Hall. The Texas artist is best known for songs such as “The Everclear Song” and “Long Way to Mexico.” Shows are scheduled through July 25. Get ticket information on Prekindle.

Alamodome presents AC/DC in concert
Iconic rock band AC/DC perform live at the Alamodome. The Australian group has released 18 albums throughout their decades-long career and is known for songs such as “Highway to Hell” and “Back in Black.” The Pretty Reckless joins AC/DC as special performing guests. Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live: Glow-N-Fire
High-speed entertainment races into the Frost Bank Center for two days of Monster Truck action. Fans can expect appearances from iconic trucks such as Bigfoot®, Mega Wrex™, and Bone Shaker™ along with exciting new elements inspired by the new Glow-N-Fire theme. Whitewater Amphitheater presenters The Black Keys in concert
Rocker duo The Black Keys will play live at Whitewater Amphitheater in New Braunfels. The pair rose to mainstream fame with their 2011 album, El Camino, which included the hit “Lonely Boy.” The Black Keys will play songs from their 2025 album, No Rain, No Flowers. Get ticket details on Tixr.
