SPRING SPLASH
SeaWorld San Antonio taps into Y2K nostalgia with 2026 music series

Relive the boy band glory days with the Pop 2000 Tour.
If your Von Dutch trucker hats and Juicy Couture tracksuits are shoved in the back of your closet, now’s the time to dust them off. SeaWorld San Antonio is dialing into Y2K nostalgia with its newest live music series, set to launch as part of the annual Seven Seas Food Festival in March.
The series is part of a nationwide program that spans six decades of music. The Orlando and San Diego parks get the most variety with acts ranging from The Beach Boys to a solo Gene Simmons to Smash Mouth. San Antonio seems to be aiming straight at Millennials.
San Antonio's shows begin with Elvis Crespo, the eccentric Puerto Rican merengue responsible for the eternal San Antonio banger “Suavamente,” followed by “No Diggity” group Blackstreet and a shared set from Dirty South hitmakers Soulja Boy and the Ying Yang Twins.

All three parks will feature a (middle aged) boy band celebration with the Pop 2000 Tour featuring O-Town, Ryan Cabrera, LFO, and Chris Kirkpatrick of *NSYNC. Assumably, the latter will be performing bops like “Bye Bye Bye” and not songs from his short-lived alt-rock band Nigel’s 11.
The SeaWorld press release promised “a mix of pop, hip-hop, Latin, contemporary Christian, and throwback music,” but only four of the five genres are listed on its calendar. It does have an empty “to be announced” slot on April 11. Maybe they can reunite the founding members of Newsboys.
The concerts coincide with SeaWorld’s Seven Seas Food Festival, held March 26 through May 17. The annual event offers food, cocktails, and beer tastings throughout the park along with entertainment from Baile Folklórico and pots and pans percussive group, the Groove Chefs.
The full slate of spring SeaWorld San Antonio performances includes:
- March 29 — Elvis Crespo
- April 11 — To Be Announced
- April 26 — Pop 2000 Tour (Chris Kirkpatrick of NSYNC, O-Town, Ryan Cabrera, LFO)
- May 9 — Blackstreet
- May 16 — Ying Yang Twins & Soulja Boy

Kane Brown will be joined by Gretchen Wilson, Parker McCollum, and more at the festival.Kane Brown/ Facebook
