1. McDonald's teases San Antonio with futuristic new beverage concept. Possibly the world's most famous eatery is branching out a little beyond its more than 40,000 restaurants worldwide. McDonald's is not sure everyone will be lovin' this new concept, so it's testing it out first in 10 pilot locations, plus teasing an option in San Antonio. The "small-format, beverage-led concept," according to a corporate article, is called CosMc's.
2. 10 San Antonio restaurants making Christmas merrier with dine-in and to-go menus. While one's inner Ina might fantasize about effortlessly whipping up a crown rack of lamb for Christmas, most San Antonians could use an assist. Trust these 10 local restaurants to deliver more jolly and less folly.
3. San Antonio's Pearl glows up with 4 new restaurants and sprawling artisan market. Just when San Antonians thought Pearl had hit a peak with its culinary offerings, a sprawling new project is upping the ante: Pullman Market, a 40,000-square-foot market featuring a grocer, casual to-go concepts, and four full-service restaurants, is set to open in 2024.
4. San Antonio airport receives contract clearance for new terminal work. Things are really about to take off at San Antonio International Airport (SAT). An overhaul is currently in the works, including a new, third terminal, which is where the newest efforts are being funneled. At a City Council meeting on December 12, the airport saw "several contracts and agreements" approved within the the Terminal Development Program (TDP) and the Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR).
5. Fancy-Western hotel and chophouse debut in thriving Texas travel destination. Now that Fort Worth is one of the top 50 travel destinations in 2024, according to Travel + Leisure, it might be time to get a few hotels on San Antonians' radars. A long-awaited hotel has debuted in Fort Worth: Bowie House, part of the Auberge Resorts Collection portfolio, is now open, with a chophouse-style restaurant and hundreds of pieces of art.
