REALITY BITES
New reality series aims spotlight on real San Antonio stories

A new reality series will soon document "extraordinary" San Antonians.
It’s not quite the Real World Alamo City, but a new reality show will soon start documenting San Antonio lives. A TikTok posted by local production company For The People Pictures teased it would soon be shooting the unnamed series, with production expected to wrap up after Fiesta in early May.
“I can't share all of the details just yet, but I can tell you that as of January First, 2026, we secured the funding for the full first season,” said the company’s “architect of art,” Luiggi Svagelj. “It is going to be eight episodes following around six individuals doing extraordinary things here in the city.”
Details on the project are still slim, but Svagelj did provide some clues in the comments section and a subsequent TikTok update. He said the team has started building social media pages and marketing graphics and has received overwhelming interest from the community.
For the People specializes in video production, screenwriting, and producing, but offers a wide variety of a la carte consulting on everything from creative ideation to research. According to its Instagram, it has recently worked with some high-profile names, including rappers Quavo and Ty Dolla $ign and athletes Johnny Manziel and Vince Young.
San Antonio is not entirely new to the reality game. In 2019, Bravo aired Texanas, a short-lived series that followed the same dramatic beats as the Real Housewives franchise. Ubiquitous local lawyer Thomas J. Henry filmed Hangin’ with Los Henrys, a YouTube series that never quite kept up with the Kardashians.
Svagelj promises more details on the new Alamo City series soon, but, in the meantime, local band Volcán, drag legend Kristi Waters, and a whole host of messy San Antonians are jostling for their moment in the sun.
“I'm telling you, we're about to highlight the city of San Antonio in a way it's never been done before,” said Svagelj. “Get excited.”
