San Antonio women roast Charles Barkley in round of Pop the Balloon

San Antonio women got their chance to clap back at Charles Barkley.
For over a decade, former NBA superstar Charles Barkley has been making fun of San Antonio women. On April 8, NBA on TNT gave a group of locals the chance to clap back during the Boston Celtics versus New York Knicks game.
The show invited a group of San Antonio women to take part in an impromptu version of Pop the Balloon, the viral dating show sensation coming soon to Netflix. In the series, participants eliminate prospective romantic partners from the dating pool by popping their balloon, as the show's title says.
Despite doing his best to sell himself, each woman immediately popped the balloon on Barkley. When host Kenny Smith asked the contestants about their decision, they seized the opportunity for some good-natured ribbing.
One woman roasted the basketball analyst's golf swing; another admitted she wasn't attracted to him despite appreciating his often-caustic sense of humor.
A third contestant dunked on the former Houston Rockets forward's lack of an NBA championship. "Let's be real, you don't even have any rings," she said. "So, I can't trust that you are gonna give me one."
Barkley has a famously long history of trolling San Antonio women on NBA of TNT, starting in 2010 when he declared, "They ain't got no skinny women down there." He recently reignited the feud at Capital One JamFest during Final Four weekend in San Antonio, lobbing another round of fatphobic remarks about the city and its women.
For their part, the lineup of balloon-popping ladies took Barkley's jabs in stride, but one contestant wasn't ready to be appeased.
"I would never date a man who talks bad about my city," she said.
