Rap superstar Cardi B leads lineup for San Antonio's 2018 Mala Luna Festival
San Antonio's Mala Luna Music Festival returns on October 27-28 — and it's bringing some of music's hottest acts to Alamo City.
On August 6, the homegrown fest announced the lineup for the 2018 extravaganza. Leading the lineup is Cardi B, arguably the biggest name is music right now, and the mastermind behind songs such as "Bodak Yellow” and “Bartier Cardi.” Other headlining acts include Nicky Jam and Tyler, the Creator.
Also hitting the Mala Luna stage is Lil Pump, Lil Baby, Rich the Kid, BlocBoy JB, Becky G, Smokepurpp, Shoreline Mafia, Tierra Whack, Wifisfuneral, Rico Nasty, Saweetie, and Noah North.
San Antonio artists and musicians are well represented with Angel Cintron, Bambi, Gracelyndd Gomez, and Marissa Rose Mejia all scheduled to take part in the festivities.
This year, Mala Luna returns to the parking lot of the Nelson Wolff Stadium just west of downtown for two days of performances, live art installations, local food vendors, and South Texas-based merchants. According to a release, more than 50,000 fans attended last year's event, more than double the inaugural year in 2016.
And, considering this is just days before Dia de los Muertos, attendees can expect fabulous costumes and art inspired by the holiday.
Tickets for Mala Luna are on sale now, and general admission passes begin at $109. Two-day VIP passes are available for $159, while special packages such as the Black Moon ($159), Harvest Moon ($179), and Fly Me to the Moon ($399) are also available.
