Jackson Takes Texas
Janet Jackson adds trio of Texas stops to upcoming world tour
Janet Jackson has added three Texas stops to her upcoming "Unbreakable" world tour. The pop superstar will visit San Antonio's AT&T Center on January 21, Houston's Toyota Center on January 23, and Dallas' American Airlines Center on January 24.
The Texas cities are part of 27 dates added to the second leg of her tour. Thirty-nine shows in the U.S. and Canada were previously announced for the tour, which runs August 31 through March 9, 2016.
This is the seventh tour for Miss Jackson (if you're nasty) and her first since 2011's Number Ones, Up Close and Personal World Tour. On June 22, the pop icon released the first single from her 11th studio album, set to debut this fall. "No Sleeep" is currently No. 13 on the Billboard Hot R&B Songs chart.
During her lengthy career, Jackson has won six Grammy Awards, a dozen American Music Awards, nine MTV Music Video Awards and 33 Billboard Music Awards, not to mention many other accolades.
Ticket sales for the second leg of the tour start July 20. American Express Card Members and fans who pre-order Jackson's upcoming album on her website receive pre-sale access before the general public. Pre-sale access runs July 14 at 10 am through July 19 at 10 pm.
