New boutique fitness studio stretches into San Antonio's King William
Urban Lagree will open its second San Antonio studio in October.
Its method helped sculpt the bodies of Nicole Kidman, Sofia Vergara, and even Michelle Obama — and now it’s coming to King William. Urban Lagree will open its second San Antonio location at 227 E. Cevallos in October.
Although Lagree is more well-known than when owners Abigayle Rosser and Katie Hayes debuted their first San Antonio studio in 2024, some folks may still need a quick primer. The low-impact, high-intensity workout is done on a resistance machine called a Megaformer, a sort of hot rod version of Pilates’ reformer.
The workout itself combines slow, controlled movements with constant resistance, hitting all the marks of strength, core, and cardio. Yes, it can be brutal, but one does not get Obama’s famous arms doing a few curls with 2.5-pound dumbbells.
Hayes and Rosser met while both were trainers in San Francisco. Now relocated to Texas, they own six studios — three in Austin, one in Dallas, and now two locations in Alamo City.
“We've loved becoming a part of the San Antonio fitness community over the past two years, and opening in King William feels like such an exciting next step for us,” said Hayes in a release. “It's a neighborhood experiencing so much growth while maintaining such a strong sense of community.”
Once opened, classes in the studio will run seven days a week and be open to all fitness levels. The owners work to ensure each location has a “community-first” approach where clients feel supported and connected.
Urban Lagree is extending three launch offers before the studio’s opening: a two-class intro for $20, a five-class pack for $8, and a first-month unlimited pass for $99. More details are available online.
