Budget-friendly fitness chain opening first San Antonio gyms

EōS Fitness is opening its first San Antonio gyms.
Looking to lose weight around the middle but not your wallet? The budget-friendly Dallas-based gym chain EōS Fitness will soon expand into San Antonio with three locations in 2026.
The planned locations are at 2838 N Loop 1604 W, 8600 Fourwinds Dr., and 11761 Bandera Rd. The latter takes over the former Gold’s Gym space, a 38,602-square-foot retail lease managed by Rose Commercial Partners. Other stores on the campus include Target, Lowe’s, TJX, Kohls, Nordstrom Rack, and Ross.
EōS Fitness prides itself on being the most cost-effective gym this side of an afternoon jog. Billing itself as “High Value. Low Price,” its cheapest membership — "Will Do" — costs only $9.99 a month. It includes access to basic strength and cardio equipment, as well as one free physical therapy session.
According to Dave Reisman, chief growth officer at EōS Fitness, the Alamo City locations will have “recovery innovative options, high-tech strength machines, and signature amenities in a high-energy environment with friendly, knowledgeable fitness experts ready to assist.”
“Expanding into San Antonio is a major milestone in our Texas growth story and a natural next step for EōS,” continued Reiseman. “We see a clear opportunity to bring something different to the market with our premium fitness experience, all at an affordable price point.”
EōS Fitness was founded in 2015 by CEO Rich Drengberg, who started working the front desk at gyms in the ‘80s before launching his own. With 16 locations across Texas and a goal of 250 nationwide by 2030, it’s one of the fastest-growing fitness chains in the country, surpassing 1 million memberships in 2023. The chain has a uniquely cinematic approach to exercise, offering studio-style areas for influencers and MOVEoS, a theater setup where patrons can watch films while pumping iron.
The chain was acquired by BRS and Co. in 2016, and its net worth is estimated to be around $1 billion. After moving to Dallas from Phoenix, Arizona in 2022, the company started a massive push into the Texas market, often re-purposing closed gym spaces.
