3 San Antonio hospitals climb chart among best in Texas, per U.S. News

San Antonio Methodist Hospital is one of the top 10 best hospitals in Texas.
Media giant U.S. News & World Report has released its 2025 rankings of the best hospitals in Texas, and they prove that San Antonio is in good hands.
The Alamo City's esteemed Methodist Hospital was rated the 9th best hospital in Texas, marking a major improvement over its previous No. 18 ranking in 2024.
U.S. News annually evaluates 581 Texas hospitals to determine which meet the publication's rigorous standards and offer the best care for patients. Hospitals are also ranked among 15 specialties, including cancer; cardiology, heart and vascular surgery; obstetrics and gynecology; orthopedics; psychiatry; rehabilitation; diabetes and endocrinology; and more.
Houston Methodist Hospital reigns as the No. 1 Texas hospital for 2025, followed by two Dallas institutions: UT Southwestern Medical Center (No. 2) and Baylor University Medical Center (No. 3).
Methodist Hospital earned accolades as San Antonio's best hospital for the second year in a row, and it landed in a three-way tie for the statewide No. 9 spot with Houston Methodist Willowbrook Hospital and St. David's Medical Center in Austin.

"It reflects not only the excellent care we provide but also our continued commitment to advancing health care for the people of San Antonio and beyond. San Antonio's Baptist Medical Center is the second-best hospital in the city for 2025, and it made a significant jump on the statewide list to rank as the 15th best hospital, up from its 2024 ranking as No. 29. It entered a three-way tie for the designation with Ascension Seton Medical Center Austin and Medical City Dallas.
Methodist Hospital Stone Oak ranked No. 3 in San Antonio and No. 21 statewide for 2025, tying with Houston Methodist Baytown Hospital and Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth.
