Opt for Optimism
Optimistic attendees go wild for good deeds at San Antonio fundraiser
CultureMap and Frost Bank made a surprise appearance at the 24th annual Zoo La La, greeting the more than 400 guests who showed up to sip, savor, and stroll through the San Antonio Zoo.
The Opt For Optimism van, which will be driving all around Texas this year to spread cheer and positivity, brought with it plenty of swag for the zoo supporters. Good-Natured seed bombs were a hot item, as were the Frost Bank cash cards that people could use to pay it forward and do something nice for friends, family, and even strangers.
Other big hits were the free face painting and the Call Me Optimistic chalkboards, which prompted attendees to jot down what they're thankful for and what makes them happy. They proved so popular that there wasn't an inch of space left a mere 30 minutes after the event started.
This feel-good visit was the second of the 2019 Frost Bank pop-ups, and guests definitely picked up on the happy vibes. One pair was out celebrating their 20-plus years of friendship, and another woman admitted she'd been having a hard time finding a bank she could feel good about using. It's safe to say after experiencing the evening's event, she walked away a proud new Frost Bank member.
CultureMap and Frost Bank will be hosting more of these pop-up events throughout the year, surprising and delighting folks all over Texas. Want to know where we might show up next? Sign up for our emails and follow along on Facebook and Instagram for hints about our next stop.
