San Antonio's Tobin Center drops new season with immersive experiences

The Tobin Center for the Performing Arts has revealed its 2025-26 season lineup, jam-packed with Broadway hits, contemporary dance performances, and immersive theater. The local arts hub announced the slate during a celebratory event at the H-E-B Performance Hall on April 21.
Along with the center's usual array of stellar arts programming, Tobin leaders introduced a brand-new experience to bring audiences in on the action. The Tobin Immersive Collection will feature participatory experiences like Clue: A Walking Mystery, The RESET: An Immersive Sound Healing Experience with Davin Youngs, and a reimagining of The Long Christmas Dinner, where audiences become part of the play's world.
"As we close the chapter on our tenth anniversary, we're not just looking ahead — we're leaping forward," said a Tobin rep via a press release. "This new season reflects The Tobin Center's commitment to innovation, access, and artistic excellence."
The upcoming season will also feature the return of the Frost Signature Series, the Tobin Dance Series, and the third season from 100A Productions, the Tobin Center's in-house theater project.
The Frost Signature Series will bring five Broadway classics to downtown San Antonio. To complement the stage spectacles, San Antonio theater teacher and director Tim Hedgepeth will again lead "Curtain Talks and Cocktails." This lecture series will dive into the lore of Golden Age musicals like The Broadway Melody, Singin' in the Rain, and Mary Poppins.
The Tobin Dance Series will showcase a variety of multi-cultural performances like Koresh Dance Masquerade, Water Street Dance, and Dance Afrika! Accompanying "Drinks and Dance Discoveries" lectures will be held one hour before each performance, offering free insights into the history and artistry of the productions.
Lastly, 100A Theater Productions enters its third season with fully staged productions of Greater Tuna, The Long Christmas Dinner, The Glass Menagerie, and Educating Rita. 100A will also present its popular industry night staged readings, including The Miss Firecracker Contest, Oleanna, The Realistic Joneses, and Doubt, A Parable.
Subscriptions for the Frost Signature Series, Tobin Dance Series, and 100A Theater Productions are on sale now.
