The City of San Antonio’s World Heritage Office and the Department of Arts & Culture will highlight the National Poetry Month in San Antonio with the 10th Annual Viva Poesía: Palabras, Música, y Cultura festival.

This year's theme is "Confluence of the Creative Arts," inspired by the Surrealist exquisite corpse game. In tribute to this age-old game of collaborative compositions, Viva Poesia will unite local poets, visual artists, and chefs, to craft poetry, visul art, and dishes that surprise and spark the imagination. This creative blending of activity will unfold simultaneously, infusing the event with spontaneous artistry, while celebrating San Antonio as a UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy.

Visitors can join for live cooking demonstrations and tastings, visual art, and poetic performances by local poets, artists, and San Antonio UNESCO Chef Ambassadors. The event will also feature live music, a tree giveaway, make-and-take art activities for the entire family, and more. Pop-up vendors will be on-site, and food and beverages will be available for purchase throughout the evening.
