Pioneering the progressive country music movement of the early ‘70s, The Lost Gonzo Band set Austin on its course to become the “Live Music Capitol of the World.” Playing and recording with some of the most iconic and colorful musicians in the history of the Texas music scene such as Jerry Jeff Walker, Michael Martin Murphey, Steven Fromholz, Rusty Weir and Ray Wylie Hubbard to name a few, the Gonzo’s were sometimes known as “The Austin Interchangeable Band.”
