REM Gallery presents Richard Mogas: Landscape Interpretations, Mogas' most recent body of work, is part of a continuing series of landscapes that encompass journeys and events in his life. The exhibit extends his use of compositions on wood panels that establish visual episodes from his experiences and travels in which many of his life’s thoughts are mentally recorded and emerge in the work. The pieces are a combination of his painterly abstract process combined with the pursuit of color through the ready made with its ephemeral quality and all.
Following the opening reception, the exhibit will be on display through December 16.
