The Prickly Pear Clarinet Ensemble and Mini Pears Clarinet Ensemble will present Clarinet Choir Kaleidoscope, a season finale celebrating original music for clarinet choir.
From smooth and dreamy to bold and quirky, the concert showcases the variety of sounds the clarinet family can create. The program includes works like "L.A. Traffic," favorites such as "Smokey Mountain Lullaby," musical storytelling in "A Knight Remembered" and "At Night," and a performance of the "Angry Birds Theme" by the Mini Pears.
A special highlight of the evening will be the world premiere of "A Kobold Sighting" by Richard L. Marple, written for the Prickly Pear Clarinet Ensemble. The concert concludes with a joint performance of "Deep in the Heart of Texas" featuring both ensembles together.
