Lime continues its “First Ride” series, a 60-minute training course for first-time scooter riders to learn how to use scooters safely and best practices for proper riding and following the rules of the road. These training courses improve familiarity with scooters, so riders know the basics of safe scooter riding and to ensure users and the community have the safest possible experience with e-scooters.
Lime will also share information on how any San Antonio resident who receives federal, state, or local assistance is eligible discounted rides through Lime Access. In addition, Lime will give away helmets at its First Ride Academy, based on availability. Those interested in purchasing a helmet can also get one at a discount through Bern through its online store. Lime has recently partnered with Bern in the U.S. to sell helmets directly to Lime riders at a discount in order to promote safety. Those interested can visit bernhelmets.com/pages/bern-and-lime.
Events will take place on Monday, August 12 at 5 pm and Thursday, August 22 at 5:30 pm; click on links for registration pages. The event is free, but registration is required, and space is limited. People must be 18 years or older to participate.
