Teatro del Pueblo will be showcasing local stories adapted for the stage.

  • River City Stories: The Almost Completely True Memoir of a San Antonio Girl. All names changed to protect scandalous identities. Casbeer’s, Los Padrinos. The ol’ Mirador, Tacoland and Earl Abel’s. You ‘member! Late nights, San Anto blues, greasy-cheesy enchiladas. Loud and proud drag queens mixing with Keep San Anto Metal. The 80s. Good-times relived in an original and almost-true play.
  • Better Butter:  Clint Taylor and company bring you a collection of original non-illusory short plays written and performed by an ensemble of artists who do not create stories but rather tell the stories that are creating them. Our purpose is to strengthen human connection and build community by directly sharing our experiences with our audiences.
  • Fire Collaborative: Always & Forever is a collection of true love stories from the barrios of San Antonio. Stories include Bob & Oralia: Long Distance Lovers: Two pen pals who found a connection, years go by until their lives take a turn of fate; and Henry & Olga: Ice Cream Dreams: One humble man's creative idea lands him a date with destiny, well her name turned out to be Olga but, their relationship stayed as solid as that one lost Popsicle in the back of the freezer.
