The Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center presents Summer Series: Cumbia Roots Festival

Musician Kiko Villamizar will host performances and workshops by Elders direct from Colombia for an afternoon celebration of the roots of Cumbia music. Paito y los Gaiteros de Punta Brava and national cumbiamba champions Trapiche de Colomboy will bring the richness and variety of Colombian rhythms such as porro, puya, gaita, merengue, chalupa, bullerengue, tambora, cumbia and vallenato to the Guadalupe stage while sharing stories and the beauty of this seldom heard music.
