Cantus in concert

eventdetail

As one of only two full-time vocal ensembles in the country, Cantus has grown to prominence with its distinctive approach to creating music. Working without a conductor, the members of Cantus rehearse and perform as chamber musicians, each contributing to the entirety of the artistic process.

Cantus is known for their artful programming that always tells a rich story of human experience. On No Greater Love Than This, the ensemble explores emotions and experiences common to soldiers and loved ones in times of peace and war with repertoire by Dvóřak, Janáček, Lee Hoiby, Melissa Dunphy, William Billings, John Lennon, Christine Donkin, and a new commission by Emmy Award winner Jeff Beal.
