Camerata San Antonio will present Victorian Twilight, featuring music for strings and piano from England in a time of great change, the end of the Victorian era. The program is anchored by Frank Bridge's brooding Piano Quintet and opens with a youthful work by Samuel Coleridge-Taylor. Well-known in his own time both in his home country and abroad, Coleridge-Taylor was an English composer of mixed racial background perhaps best known for his oratorio The Song of Hiawatha. His music is enjoying renewed attention from performers and audiences.

The concert will feature Laura Scalzo & Anastasia Parker, Emily Freudigman, Ken Freudigman, and Viktor Valkov. Selections for the concert include Coleridge-Taylor's "5 Fantasiestucke, Op. 5" and Bridge's "Piano Quintet in D minor."
