Brackenridge Park Conservancy invites families to cast a line and enjoy a morning of fishing at the 5th Annual Fall Family Fishing Day.

In preparation for the event, Texas Parks and Wildlife will stock the San Antonio River with more than 600 fish the day before, giving young anglers plenty of opportunities to make a catch.

The event will feature hands-on fishing lessons from Fin Addict Angler Foundation, covering casting, reeling and fishing basics. Families may bring their own rods and bait, or borrow rods, reels, and bait from Fin Addict for a $10 contribution.

Prizes will be awarded to anglers ages 16 and under for the first fish caught and largest fish caught. No fishing license is required during the event, courtesy of Texas Parks and Wildlife.
