The Juilliard graduate and Austin native Charles Yang astounds audiences with his genre-bending improvisational crossover abilities as a violinist, electric violinist, and vocalist.

Yang recently completed a week at Lincoln Center to critical acclaim as the solo violinist with American Ballet Theatre. In 2013, Austin audiences applauded his special appearance with rock legend Steve Miller as he triumphed through a selection from classical pieces to Michael Jackson’s “Billie Jean.” His presence is noticed on stages big and small, as well as frequent appearances on the Emmy-winning PBS series From the Top and National Public Radio. This violin ambassador has strung shows together across the globe as far as The Forbidden City in Beijing, Russia, the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, and Brazil.
