Sérgio and Odair Assad have long been considered the most accomplished guitar duo alive. Noted for their exquisite ensemble work and visionary interpretations of the great composers from Brazil, they have a profound ability to re-invent music from Bach to Jobim. Sérgio’s daughter Clarice joins the duo in a new program of contemporary classical works and Brazilian songs that could only come from this remarkable musical family.

Clarice Assad is a sought after composer as well as a performer on piano, bass, guitar and vocalist. She has composed works for Mabou Mines, New Century Chamber Orchestra, and The La Jolla and Cabrillo Festivals amongst others. Together, the new trio of Sérgio, Odair and Clarice will perform new works composed for this tour, as well as classics from the likes of Villa-Lobos, Jobim and Nascimento. A beautiful evening of music from Latin America and new music from the hearts and minds of one of the great musical families of our time.
