The centerpiece of SOLI's program is a new work by Clarice Assad, a Brazilian-American composer of high acclaim in both the classical and jazz worlds. Her unique and compositional style is equaled by her dazzling performances as a pianist and singer all around the world. Assad’s new work “Colcha de Retalhos” (Patchwork Quilt) will highlight SOLI and Assad’s incredible vocal talent. Also on the program are works by Astor Piazzolla, Gabriela Lena Frank, Diego Vega, Miguel Del Aquila, and Gabriela Ortiz.
