The San Antonio Food Bank strives to maintain the highest standard of efficiency while providing food to those in need. With only a 2 percent overhead, 98 percent of donated resources go to help set the table for 58,000 individuals a week. Through a network of more than 500 partner agencies and its own direct service programs, the food bank distributes millions of pounds of food and groceries a year to combat hunger.
The San Antonio Food Bank’s volunteer opportunities range from sorting room and warehouse to the garden and farm areas and community kitchens.
