Fiesta Youth serves LGBTQ teens, young adults, and their allies in San Antonio. Their mission is to empower youth to build a future where all people are accepted and loved as they are. In providing these services and support, San Antonio's youth may become successful and contributing members of the community.
Those wishing to get involved with the Fiesta Youth organization and events can fill out an application here. Opportunities include youth meeting and events volunteers, special events volunteers, and administrative volunteers. Supporters can make monetary donations here. In addition to hosting community events, Fiesta Youth also provides scholarships to local students.
Fiesta Youth hosts many events throughout the year, ranging from fall's Hocus Pocus to DreamWeek and, of course, the signature Fiesta party. Perhaps the most empowering, however, is Fiesta Youth's LGBTQ Teen Prom, a magical night in May where queer San Antonio kids ages 12-18 can celebrate one of youth's ultimate rites of passage.
