The prices are cut in half for house and specialty cocktails and most shared plates. Enjoy a cigar on the patio paired with red and white happy hour wine priced at $5 a glass.
Nectar Wine Bar and Ale House
The perfect mix of a cozy space and great wine list, happy hour is from 4 to 6 pm Wednesday through Friday and offers 15-percent off (Tuesdays it's 20-percent off all day). Here’s the bonus, if you don’t feel like staying, you can just grab, pay, and go. There are also some delightful bites that pair perfectly with that vino like The Sweety Goat served with bell peppers stuffed with goat cheese and sprinkled with basil.
Bar du Mon Ami
An Alamo Heights gem, Mon Ami has specials every day at 4 pm with a seasonal menu highlighting fall spices — the Apple Cider Mule is a favorite. With great entertainment like acoustic music offerings and Star Wars trivia nights, it’s a lively environment. Yes, you need a pretend Star Wars-based name to participate and space is limited: The next one is Wednesday, December 16.
Kirby's Steakhouse
A 1604 must, from 4:30 to 7 pm Monday through Friday foodies can experience half-priced appetizers like grilled lamb chops and snow crab paired with a perfect $5 cocktail, like Kirby’s dirty martini.
