Two cult-favorite retailers are opening new stores in Selma’s Forum at Olympia Parkway. Teso Life and Sierra will expand their local footprint with second locations, giving shoppers even more options at the booming San Antonio-area shopping center.

Hot off its Northwest Side debut in September 2025, New York-based superstore Teso Life will open a 19,602-square-foot anchor in the Forum. The rapidly growing chain, frequently described as an “upscale dollar store,” stocks an eclectic variety of Japanese goods ranging from coveted cosmetic brands to unique snacks to rare blind-box toys.

Entrepreneur Andy Lin founded the brand in Queens, New York, in 2017, aiming to showcase Japanese culture and aesthetics. Since then, the nation’s goods have become increasingly popular in the U.S., thanks to TikTok and novelty shops like Daiso — itself a San Antonio newcomer.

According to Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) filings, the chain is set to finish renovations in late June. So far, it has stayed mum about the location, but social media followers are usually treated to a few teasers leading up to grand openings.

Sierra
Rugged discounter Sierra will also be opening in the Forum, offering 21,716 square feet of sporting goods and exercise gear. The store is the sporty sibling to TJ Maxx, offering 20- to 60-percent off deals on brand-name apparel and accessories, including Adidas, Eddie Bauer, Timberland, and Lucky Brand.

The retailer also made its San Antonio introduction last September, opening its first store in the RIM shopping center. Since then, it has filed regulatory paperwork for another location at 125 NW Loop 410, making Alamo City the brand’s epicenter in Texas. The corporation has only one more unit in the state, in Allen.

TDLR records say the chain will also finish construction in June. As always, estimated timelines are subject to change without notice and may not reflect actual opening dates.
