Presa House presents Charlie Kitchen: "On the Mountain at Dawn" opening day
San Antonio photographer Charlie Kitchen’s solo photo exhibition will be unveiled at Presa House. The exhibition features a series of large format photographs from Kitchen's road trip journey between Texas and the Pacific Northwest. Following opening weekend, the exhibition is on view by appointment through September 26. A 360-degree virtual tour of the exhibition is also available on the Presa House website.
San Antonio Missions Historical Park presents Quarantine Date Night with Artist Gladys Roldan-de-Moras
Take part in a special Quarantine Date Night with Briscoe Western Art Museum curator Ryan Badger, artist Gladys Roldan-de-Moras, and National Park Ranger Tatum Weeks. During the online discussion, viewers will hear from Roldan-de-Moras on what inspired her paintings of the San Antonio Missions National Historical Park, and guests will discuss her impact on the local art scene. Admission to this virtual event is free.

Practice Your Aim at Class Axe Throwing
Let off some steam while staying socially distant at Class Axe Throwing. The facility has officially reopened at limited capacity. Small groups will receive a quick throwing lesson and will then be able to compete against each other in a winner-takes-all tournament.
CarBaret: Hill Country Drive-In Festival
Live music and cinema come together at Hye Rum Distillery. During the two-night event, CarBaret attendees can catch blockbuster film screenings and musical performances. On September 5, watch Jurassic Park and listen to tunes by Two Tons of Steel, and on September 6, see Raiders of the Lost Ark with live music from Walk This Way. Complimentary sanitizer and other safety-related swag will be provided to each car. Food and drink packages are also available for purchase, and the event benefits the Johnson City Fire Department.
