Fashion Week San Antonio
Designers from San Antonio and beyond showcase their spring collections at the city’s top fashion event. Hosted at the Tobin Center for the Performing Arts, Fashion Week San Antonio is a five-day extravaganza featuring runway shows and exhibitions of rising and established designers. Events run through May 27.
Friday, May 25
The Briscoe Western Art Museum presents Andy Warhol: “Cowboys and Indians” and Billy Schenck: “Myth of the West”
The Western-inspired work of two artistic greats debuts at The Briscoe Western Art Museum. Andy Warhol’s iconic American Pop Art imagery is joined by the work of Western Pop movement founder Billy Schenck for a psychedelic portrayal of the West. The exhibitions opens to the public May 25 and will be on display through September 3.
The Classic Theatre presents The Cherry Orchard
Russian masterpiece The Cherry Orchard comes to life on The Classic Theatre stage. Set in Russia at the turn of the century, the Anton Chekhov story explores the life of one family’s experience in a nation on the brink of revolution. The final performances are this weekend.
Saturday, May 26
Memorial Day Metalfest
Rock out at Memorial Day Metalfest. Two stages at The Rock Box showcase hard rock and metal bands from across the state and nation. The two-day music festival boasts a big roster of San Antonio acts, including A House Divided, Down Generation, Killstorm, and many others.
Joe Bonamassa in concert
Blues-rock guitar legend Joe Bonamassa heads to the Majestic Theatre in support of his new live album, British Blues Explosion. Known for hit songs including “Woke Up Dreaming” and “Different Shades of Blue,” Grammy-nominated Bonamassa is sure to put on a groovy show. Performances May 26 and May 27; select tickets are available.
Market Square Memorial Day Weekend
Memorial weekend in San Antonio wouldn’t be complete without another huge Market Square party. Sample delicious food and shop a variety of booths while listening to lively Tejano and mariachi music from veteran bands. The free event runs noon-9 pm Saturday and Sunday and noon-7 pm on Monday.
Texas Salsa Festival
Heat up your weekend at the Texas Salsa Festival at Hemisfair Park. Free and open to the public, this bold event will be teeming with the tastiest salsas from across the Lone Star State. Vote for your favorites, then cool down with a refreshing agua fresca or cold beer.

Summer Kickoff Fest
The Pod Restaurant is hosting a Memorial Day weekend party on its enormous patio with classic summertime activities for all ages. You can expect live music, face painting for the kids, a hot dog eating contest, and $3 Dos Equis pints all day.

Memorial Day Barbecue
Nothing beats a good, old-fashioned Memorial Day barbecue. Celebrate the holiday at American Legion Auxilliary’s shindig, where a donation of $8 will get you spareribs, barbecue chicken, and baked beans served by the pound from 1-4 pm.
Memorial Day Cajun Crawfish Boil & Pig Roast
Grab your picnic blankets, lawn chairs, and comfiest elastic attire for a blowout crawfish boil and pig roast at the Pearl. From 12-4 pm, gorge on savory summertime classics while sipping drink specials like Big Bend Brewing Company drafts from the Bottling Department bar. The family-friendly event will also feature bluesy melodies from San Antonio favorite The Gulf Coast Playboys.
