New San Antonio bar and grill plans Texas-sized grand opening
San Antonio's newest restaurant/bar hybrid, Whiskey Tree Bar & Grill, brings a Texas-sized twist to the Northside. Located at 7905 Bandera Rd., Whiskey Tree will host a grand opening party on Thursday, January 26, from 3 pm to 2 am.
Guests can enjoy $2 domestic and wells until 8 pm. For those arriving a little later, drink specials continue with $2.50 select pints from 8 pm until 2 am. Live music will also be provided by the Jery Deleon and Southbound band on the venue's spacious back patio.
Whiskey Tree Bar & Grill comes by the name honestly — their cocktails focus on whiskey and there's a massive oak tree in the middle of the ample front patio, setting the tone for a Texas-sized welcome. There's a full bar; 19 draft beers; and HDTVs everywhere you look, perfect for Cowboys and Spurs games. In the back, guests will find a live music space with picnic tables, a giant stage, and a dance floor.
The bar offers unique whiskey-based cocktails. Classics like an old fashioned or an Irish redhead are available with a nice twist and draft beer plays a starring role as well.
Not to be outdone, the kitchen is offering a full menu to complement the bar program; it includes Southern favorites like fried pickles and chicken-fried steak. Other dishes include the Dirty BLT, King Ranch Casserole, and Texas Cheesesteak.
Whiskey Tree Bar & Grill is now open daily from 3 pm to 2 am. The kitchen is currently open from 3 pm-10 pm, with lunch coming soon.
