TAKE A BOW
Curtains close on Hill Country's beloved Sylver Spoon Dinner Theater

Sylver Spoon Dinner Theater was known for its original productions.
After eight years of entertaining revelers, New Braunfels’ popular Sylver Spoon Dinner Theater has taken its last bow. The scrappy business at 6700 N I-35 was known for its original products and raucous murder mystery shows.
Sisters Tori Monaco-Flinn, Sylver Monaco, and Madison Monaco-George first introduced the concept with a New Year’s Eve bash in 2017. The plucky siblings handled all of the productions with Sylver writing the scripts, Tori acting and directing, and Madison creating gourmet menus tailored to each show. The trio announced the closure in a joint social media statement.
“For 8 unforgettable years, we’ve had the joy of serving this community — not just meals, but laughter, celebrations, friendships, and memories we’ll cherish forever,” the Monaco sisters wrote. “To every guest who dined with us, celebrated milestones with us, or simply shared a glass of wine on a Thursday night — thank you. You’ve been more than customers; you’ve been family.”
Although Sylver Spoon started as an outlet for theatrical productions, it became a community hub, hosting weekly comedy shows. The culinary offerings were just as popular, especially the frequent wine pairing dinners and the steak.
“My favourite steak, and sister trio, and such a holder of special memories for me,” said one representative comment. “Thank you for the opportunities and treasured moments you allowed me to share and experience there.”
The talented trio hasn’t entirely given up on show business. Earlier in 2025, the siblings took over a restored Victorian home in the heart of Seguin. While The Abbott House will primarily serve as a wedding and special events venue, its calendar is already packed with special events, including the weekly comedy showcases, wine tastings, and a spooky dining in the dark experience.
As for theater? The show must go on. The Abbott House is already selling tickets to Bad Santa, a production filled with “suspense, laughter, and a delectable three-course meal,” according to the venue’s website.
