Belgian Boys launched in 2015 to bring European-style breakfast desserts to a wider audience. CEO Gotlib and her husband, Greg Galel, met on a flight to Brussels and bonded immediately over food. Galel, a Belgian by birth, missed breakfast snacks sold in his homeland, setting the stage for the company.
The brand sells mini pancakes, waffles, and crepes, which can be stacked with fruit into kid-friendly kebabs. Belgian Boys prides itself on using no artificial flavors and as few GMOs in their product as possible. The Love Bites product launched last year, quickly becoming a major seller thanks to their cute design and ease of serving (one minute in the microwave).
"Love Bites showed us just how powerful seasonal storytelling can be when it's paired with great product and strong retail execution," says Gotlib via a release.
The food truck will also be making five stops in Austin from January 23-25. Belgian Boys products are also available at select Target, Whole Foods, H-E-B, and Central Market stores in San Antonio.
