Warby Parker debuts new San Antonio eyewear shop near Alamo Heights

San Antonians who have to use large text on their phones will soon have some relief. Warby Parker will open its second San Antonio shop at The Shops at Lincoln Heights (999 E. Basse Rd.) on April 11.
For its newest Alamo City location, Warby Parker promises a "a one-stop-shop" for chic eyewear, plus eye exams. Shoppers can expect the brand's full sun and optical eyewear offerings, including the newly launched summer 2026 collection. The new line includes a Market Studios collaboration paying homage to the '90s.
In keeping with the company's focus on cool store design, the Shops at Lincoln Heights locale features in-store artwork by Austin artist Will Bryant, whose colorful abstract works can be seen on several Capital City bars and restaurants.
Named after two Jack Kerouac characters, Warby Parker started as an online one-stop shop that would send people five pairs of frames to try on, offering both those and the necessary prescriptions for relatively inexpensive rates. Of late, the company has been building a more traditional brick-and-mortar business where people can try glasses on.
That doesn’t mean it has entirely abandoned “disruptive” technology. Customers can still download the Advisor app, which allows virtual try-ons.
Still, San Antonians who need new frames might want to stop by the shop on opening day. Warby Parker will be giving complimentary custom tote bags out with every purchase while supplies last. Store hours are 11 am-7 pm, Monday through Saturday and noon-7 pm, Sundays.
