Settle in for a screening of a family-friendly movie under the night sky at Mission Marquee Plaza. This week’s featured series film is the action-packed hit Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 3. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own picnic meals, blankets, and lawn chairs for an optimal viewing experience. Snacks and refreshments from onsite food trucks will be available for purchase.

Benise in concert
Guitarist Benise brings his talent to a live audience at Tobin Center for the Performing Arts. Benise, also known as the “The Prince of Spanish Guitar," will perform a concert that spans a variety of genres that lend themselves to his signature instrument. Fans can expect a setlist that features renditions of classic songs such as “Ave Maria” and Vivaldi’s “Summer” from The Four Seasons. Tickets are available now.
San Pedro Playhouse presents The Wizard of Oz
The iconic and timeless story of a wandering girl from Kansas and the yellow brick road that paves the way to her destiny comes to life on stage at the Public Theater of San Antonio. The main character, Dorothy Gale, journeys to find the magical land of Oz and meets impactful friends along her quest. This production is suitable for audiences of all ages. Performances are scheduled through August 4.
Gruene Hall presents James McMurtry in concert
Rock musician James McMurtry performs live at Gruene Hall. The Texas-born guitarist and singer-songwriter has released 13 albums in his career, including his 2021 project The Horses and the Hounds. A limited number of tickets are available.

Centro Cultural Aztlan presents El Gran Día de los Artistas
Celebrate 47 years of the Centro Cultural Aztlan with an evening dedicated local art and artists. Highlights include live music, poetry performances by the Jazz Poets of San Antonio, art demonstrations, live painting, and more. Featured art exhibits, "Midsummer Solstice: A Celebration of Life, Balance and Renewal” and "The Project: MASA Cosmic Couture Portrait Collection" by Luis Valderas, will be on display. Special musical guests include Gelina, Armando Martinez, and Liza Ybarra. Event admission is free and open to the public.
Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live Glow Party
Geared-up entertainment speeds into the Frost Bank Center for two days of Monster Truck action. Fans can expect appearances from iconic trucks such as Demo Derby, Bone Shaker, and HW 5-Alarm, the new firetruck of the Hot Wheels Monster Trucks gang. Additional highlights include a laser light show, dance parties, Freestyle Motocross, and Hot Wheels toy giveaways. Tickets for all party times are available.

Briscoe Western Art Museum continues its Summer Film Series with a screening of the 2020 drama News of the World, starring Tom Hanks. Viewers will experience the gripping tale of a Civil War veteran and his task of returning a young girl refugee to her remaining family, which is based off a 2016 novel by Paulette Jiles. All attendees will receive a complimentary copy of the book.
