Three 6 Mafia to headline San Antonio's Tacos & Tequila Festival

If Three 6 Mafia’s “Stay Fly” is still your go-to karaoke anthem, San Antonio might have the perfect Saturday planned for you. The Tacos & Tequila Festival is bringing a heavy dose of early 2000s hip-hop nostalgia to Selma’s Retama Park on May 9, featuring a lineup of the era's biggest stars.
Joining the Memphis rappers (and Oscar winners) will be a slate of artists who soundtracked the flip phone era, including Pretty Ricky, Trina, Paul Wall, Jay Sean, Bubba Sparxxx, Murphy Lee, and Mims. Festival favorite DJ Wiki will also be on hand, spinning classics from the 106 & Park and Total Request Live countdowns.
Although the all-star performers might nab the spotlight, Tacos & Tequila is still a food festival. The Retama Park grounds will be filled with dozens of taco vendors and craft margarita and tequila stations. The event will also feature lucha libre wrestling matches, a chihuahua beauty pageant, an exotic car showcase, and interactive art installations designed to keep the energy up between sets.
Tacos & Tequila, produced by Kansas City company Social House Entertainment, is now in its third year in San Antonio. In previous years, it has brought Ginuwine, Lil Jon, and the founding members of Bone Thugs-N-Harmony to the Selma stage. It is not to be confused with the Texas Taco Tequila & Music Fest once held at Hemisfair, which appears to be now defunct.
Early bird tickets for the show are on sale now, with general admission starting at $49 and VIP tickets priced at $99 while supplies last. VIP perks include early entry, elevated viewing areas, private bars, and exclusive drink inclusions.
The festival also offers bottle service and table reservations. For full details, ticket options, and group packages, visit the festival’s official website.
