Huge indoor trampoline park bounces into northwest San Antonio

Sky Zone is growing San Antonio's trampoline park scene by leaps and bounds.
A new trampoline park is bouncing into San Antonio’s Northwest side. Sky Zone is opening its first Alamo City facility at 6161 Northwest Loop 410 in late 2026 or early 2027.
Although San Antonio is peppered with a few trampoline parks, Sky Zone is a leader in the category. In fact, the Provo, Utah-based company is credited with creating the idea.
According to a Los Angeles Times report, it all started when inventor Karin-Maria K. Winkelhorn patented a new sport meant to be played on “trampoline-like channels.” Entrepreneur Rick Platt snagged up the patent and opened a complex in hopes of luring athletes for a startup league.
Although reportedly fast-paced and acrobatic, the sport never attracted much interest. But thrill-seeking skateboarders did take to the unconventional surface. The wear and tear led Platt to begin charging admission to the springy arena, and the rest is history.
Although Sky Zone hasn’t released details on its 28,366-square-foot park just yet, its complex offers far more than trampolines. Among the attractions are zip lines, warrior courses, slides, jousting, and a foam pit. The concept also caters to birthday parties and is rentable for corporate events.
Individual tickets are available, but memberships are affordable. Prices vary by location, but rates in Houston, the closest Sky Zone location, are $33.99 a month for the Elite tier, which offers unlimited weekday jump time and a reserved two hours during peak weekend traffic.
According to Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation filings, the San Antonio Sky Zone is set to finish construction in August. But a representative for the company said it will likely not debut until the end of the year.
